The production of springs for sliver cans represents for Metal Lastra the main manufacturing, result of years of study, tests and experience in the field.
The spring is studied specifically for the payload and the yarn type used in the spinning plant: it is characterized by a level of stability and constancy of performance such as to always maintain the yarn at the edge of the pot, enhancing the quality of the yarn and avoiding fraying.
The springs, made of a carbon harmonic steel wire, vary from a minimum diameter of 180mm to 600mm.
The result is a productive process closely guarded in the business’ know-how, unique in its own genre: the spring is correctly flat even without cords, avoiding pretension, accumulation and leakage of the textile fiber.
